How to Create a Post

Posting on Parallel is all about real people (and not just models) showing off their best outfits and sharing how they fit. Tag where you bought your items and what size you wear to help others shop your look.

Requirements

1. Photos must be of yourself.
2. Only outfit photos are allowed.
3. Minimum of one item must be tagged.
4. Tagged items must be what you're wearing in your photos.
STEP ONE

Upload Photos of Your Outfit

Take photos of yourself in your best outfits and upload them directly from your phone or computer.

TIPS
Only have one person (you) in the photo.
Full-body shots of your outfit work best (mirror selfies are welcome).
Ensure the photos aren’t blurry.
Avoid filters, they can obscure how clothing looks.
Posts with multiple photos (4 max) have higher engagement.
Only have one outfit showcased in each post.
Make sure the clothing is visible in your photos.
Get creative! Fun-styled photos have higher engagement.

STEP TWO

Tag Your Outfit

Let people know where to buy your outfit, the size you bought, and how it fits.

ADD YOUR ITEMS

*NEW* AUTO-DETECTION TAGGING
To make outfits easier to tag, our system automatically detects items in your post, allowing you to easily link the item to an existing wardrobe item or add a new one.

D

ADD ITEM LINKS

Tap the "Available" or "Past Season" button, depending on if your item can still be purchased or not.

SCENARIO 1: AVAILABLE
Option 1: Search Product
Parallel has some brand's product catalogs for easy tagging. If this option is available, search the catalog and select your item.
Option 2: Provide Link
Copy & paste the link where people can buy your item.
TIPS
If you bought a pair of Nike shoes on SSENSE, and are uploading the SSENSE link, select Nike as the brand.
Be sure to test that your links work.
If you can't find the item, leave "Purchase Link" empty and select "Can't find the link? Skip".

STEP THREE

Post Information

Tags are like hashtags that help describe your outfit. Posts with tags, a location, and a description get more exposure. Remember, people are deciding whether or not to buy from your posts, so give them as much relevant information as possible to help them make a decision.
