Community Guidelines
Mission
Parallel is a social commerce platform that offers AI-powered size recommendations and a community-driven shopping experience to solve the problem of not knowing what clothing size to purchase. Please adhere to the following community guidelines to ensure a positive and supportive environment for all our users.
Body Measurements
Our custom-built proprietary AI body measurement technology helps you find the right size. Complete your body scan in the Parallel app to unlock access to the size recommendation tool and filter posts to see outfits on people with a similar body type.
To ensure the accuracy and integrity of the system, users must:
- Properly submit two photos of yourself (and no one else) per the guidelines.
- Accurately input their height.
Should a user impersonate someone else in these images or input an inaccurate height, Parallel may request changes. Impersonation or false representation of information can lead to account deactivation.
Post Content
Creators on Parallel (those who upload content) should follow these posting guidelines:
- Ensure you’re the only person in the photos.
- Provide accurate URL links to each item you tag.
- Input the correct size of the items you are wearing.
- Correctly complete all other requested information.
Ensure the information you provide is accurate. Misleading or false information harms the community and mislead users. Parallel reserves the right to modify, request changes, and deny any posts at their discretion. Read our Post Guidelines for a complete list of requirements.
Weapons
We don’t allow the depiction, promotion, or trade of firearms, ammunition, accessories, or explosive weapons. We also prohibit instructions on how to manufacture those weapons. Don’t post, upload, stream, or share content that displays firearms, firearm accessories, ammunition, or explosive weapons or content that offers the purchase, sale, trade, or solicitation of firearms, accessories, ammunition, or explosive weapons or instructions on manufacturing them. Hate Speech
We don’t allow space for hateful content or people and groups that promote hateful activities. We restrict the distribution of such content and accounts, including support for hate groups and groups promoting hateful activities and prejudice, attacks on other individuals or organizations, or slurs or negative stereotypes. Engaging in these activities will result in account deactivation. If you see any hate speech on Parallel, please email hello@joinparallel.io.
Inappropriate Content
Parallel isn’t a place for minors under 13, nor is it a place for explicit content. We review posts and actively remove posts of mature and explicit content, including sexual images, sexual descriptions, images of nudity, or other inappropriate content determined to be unfit. If you see any inappropriate content on Parallel, please email hello@joinparallel.io.
Private Information
We disallow content that reveals personally sensitive information, such as personal IDs, private contact information, addresses, and online login information. If you see any unwanted information about you or others on our platform, please email hello@joinparallel.io.
Impersonation
We don’t allow accounts that impersonate or misrepresent their affiliation with any person or organization. You should only upload photos of yourself. Impersonating others will result in account deactivation. If you see any impersonation occurring, please email hello@joinparallel.io.
Harassment
We do our best to limit harassment and abuse on our platform. We disallow body shaming, shaming based on sexual orientation or history, manipulated images intended to degrade or shame others, name-calling, mockery, profanity, or other insulting language or imagery on Parallel. Engaging in these activities will result in account deactivation. If you see any harassment or abuse on our platform, please email hello@joinparallel.io.
Illicit Links
Parallel allows creators to tag and link items in their posts. We restrict links to apparel-related items only and will actively take down any posts attempting to sell or solicit for sale items not intended for our platform. We don’t allow the distribution and sale of the following items: alcohol, tobacco, drugs and related paraphernalia, weapons including firearms and their accessories, firearm parts or attachments, ammunition, or any other item aside from apparel, clothing, or fashion items. We don’t allow linking to counterfeit items. Engaging in these activities will result in account deactivation. If you see any illicit links, please email hello@joinparallel.io.
Spam
We actively remove any instances of spam where users may try to take advantage of or dampen Parallel's quality and integrity. This includes but is not limited to, using bots (or any automated system that is not normal user behaviour) to post, comment, follow, refer users, or engage with the platform or any feature. Intellectual Property and Content Laws
Don’t misuse or misrepresent Parallel’s names, trademarks, or copyrighted material in a way that could confuse or mislead others. Don’t do anything or post any content that violates laws or regulations. Engaging in these activities will result in account deactivation. If you see any intellectual property infringement or violation of laws, please email hello@joinparallel.io.
Site Security
Don’t break or circumvent our security measures or the integrity of our system or test the vulnerability of our systems or networks. Don’t scrape, download, access, or search any supported and unsupported part of Parallel. Don’t try to reverse-engineer our software. Don’t try interfering with people on Parallel or our host networks, such as sending a virus, overloading, or spamming. Don’t collect or store personally identifiable information from Parallel or individuals on our platform without permission. Don’t share your password, let anyone access your account, or do anything that might put your account at risk. Don’t attempt to buy or sell account access, usernames, or otherwise transfer account features for compensation. Engaging in these activities will result in account deactivation. Cultural Sensitivity
Content that may be offensive due to cultural insensitivity is not allowed. Be mindful of others’ backgrounds and perspectives when posting.
Mental Health Considerations
We encourage a supportive environment. Content that promotes self-harm, eating disorders, or other harmful behavior is prohibited and will be removed.
Affiliate Links
Affiliate links help content creators earn money when people buy from their posts. To protect the integrity of our system and continue to allow affiliate commissions, we actively limit opportunities for spammers and individuals seeking to abuse the program and manipulate Parallel’s platform. Our guidelines are as follows:
Affiliate content should be original and add value to Parallel. Parallel users should only have one account, and it should reflect their authentic presence on the platform. The use of shorteners or redirectors to make a link's destination domain unclear or redirecting to hide an affiliate partner is frowned upon. All affiliate links should be generated within Parallel and not through any external affiliate system. Don’t try to manipulate algorithms or user traffic artificially. Some examples of prohibited behavior include using fake accounts to create or save your affiliate links, asking other users to create posts with links that include your affiliate identifier, or creating affiliate posts repetitively or in large volume.

Appeals
If you believe a decision was made incorrectly, you can appeal it. Email us any relevant information at hello@joinparallel.io, and our team will review it.
