As the name implies, this piece is faintly inspired by military pilots vests, though the absurd amount of pockets these vest usually are equipped with have been omitted. It's finished with a full tonal satin lining, a worsted wool knit collar, welted handwarmer pockets, and interior gun pocket, and a heavy duty zipper.
These Flight Vests are made with a gorgeous 12oz Japanese indigo-dyed Sashi-Ori, easily one of Dehen's most interesting seasonal fabrics to date. Sashi-Ori is a traditional Japanese woven cotton fabric, made to reproduce the intricate stitched texture of traditional Japanese sashiko mended garments. The material is densely woven for workwear functionality and long-lasting durability, with a ton of texture across the fabric that adds immensely to the ageing of the fabric.
Please keep in mind that the indigo overdye will fade, and could discolour light coloured garments and fabrics through friction and bleeding, particularly before the first couple of washes.
