From the brand: A 1960’S TAKE ON THE MONTREAL EXPOS WINDBREAKER JACKET History: With the long history and success of the minor league Montreal Royals in mind, the NL chose the Canadian city as one of their two new franchises (along with San Diego) for the 1969 season. The first regular season major league game played outside the United States took place at Jarry Park (Parc Jarry) on April 14, 1969, with the new Expos topping the visiting St. Louis Cardinals. The Expos chose red, white, and blue for the new team's color scheme, echoing the traditional colors of the Province of Quebec. This style is an authentic Montreal Expos satin windbreaker from 1969. Our line of MLB vintage windbreakers are inspired by models from the 1950s and '60s, and use our classic cotton-backed acetate satin.
