From the brand: Horween’s Pioneer Reindeer is their recreation of the famous “Russian Reindeer” leather, discovered in the 18th-century Metta Catharina shipwreck. The leather shares many characteristics with Horween’s Chromexcel: aniline-dyed, heavy pull-up, and combination-tanned. It is distinguished by a heavy embossment, creating a strictly defined, diamond-shaped hatch grain pattern.
