For PH5’s Resort 2026 collection, the brand continues its exploration of the intersection between science and art. This time, the collection draws inspiration from gyotaku, the ancient Japanese art of fish printing, which captures the beauty of marine creatures while also scientifically recording their forms. By referencing this technique, PH5 honors both the artistry and precision of nature, while highlighting the often-overlooked beauty of underwater life. The aim is to inspire a deeper appreciation for nature in all its forms.
The fish motif is abstracted into sculptural, crocheted impressions that wrap across the chest in textured, organic shapes, blending the fluidity of nature with the structure of the body. Water, a central theme, is explored through texture and print. A pattern inspired by light reflections on rippling water evokes both movement and serenity, capturing nature’s energy in fabric.
