This Tin Cloth PrimaLoft® Vest combines that traditional ruggedness with PrimaLoft®’s class-leading lightweight insulation. The Tin Cloth shell fabric is a tightly woven 100% cotton waxed canvas that’s been treated with liquefied wax under high heat and pressure. This forces the wax into the core of each cotton fiber, for lasting water resistance. The fabric’s tight weave makes it exceptionally abrasion-resistant. It also makes it difficult for any punctures to develop into tears. Our oil finish Tin Cloth can be rewaxed as often as needed to maintain water-resistance for decades of reliable service. PrimaLoft® is a lightweight synthetic insulation engineered to mimic the heat-trapping ability of goose down, with the benefit of continuing to insulate even when wet. The 100g PrimaLoft® Gold used in this vest has been tested to retain 98% of its warmth in soaking conditions.
