They're cut with 5 pockets, two in the front for your hands, two in the back for sitting on, and one special "envelope pocket" on the front right, just below the belt. They've got some very traditional details, like the hook and button waistband, split back waist, and tall cuffs — with an easy relaxed shape that's immediately comfortable to wear.
The fabric is the real star here, handwoven with hand-spun 100% cotton yarns, it's an extremely textured and slubby herringbone with a soft hand and phenomenal drape. One set of yarns is dyed black with a recycled metal and sugar-based dye, while the tan comes from a natural cutch-based dye, resulting in beautiful black/beige with subtle tonal variance throughout. The low-tension hand weave gives the fabric its unique and uneven texture.
