About Mach 2000
In 1970s, cheap quartz movement created a form of earthquake in the watchmaking industry. Rather than seeing their factory to closure, LIP employed a powerful group of talents and decided to manage the company by themselves from 1973-74. In 1974, Claude Neuschwander, ex art director of the well-known advertisement company, Publicis, took the lead of LIP and collaborated with famous designer, Roger Tallon, and Mach 2000 was born! Its avant-garde and unique design was on display in many famous art museums, such as New York MOMA. Fourty years later, the unique design of the Mach 2000 is still unmatched, and never out of fashion!
