Inspired by workwear fabrics from 1920s France and produced by Lovat Mills in Scotland, the Sporting Tweed is a 100% wool performance herringbone fabric, with a unique subtle texture & an excellent hand. It's woven from twisted yarns, made by spinning a worsted (long staple) yarn around a woolen (short staple) one. It does everything a good wool should - it's comfortable and resistant to abrasion, with moisture-wicking properties, great insulation, and a handsome drape.
These are cut with a very high rise and fitted waist (that can be adjusted with elasticated zip sliders at the sides), a roomy top block, full thighs & knees, and a handsome taper down to a knit cuff.
