From the brand: Produced in Japan by Warehouse & Co, John Gluckow garments are designed in collaboration with John Gluckow himself, a long time industry veteran and respected vintage collector. Each piece is functionally familiar but stylistically unique - not interested in simply replaying the hits, John finds weird, funky, and obscure styles that nobody else is making and rebuilds them to the highest quality.
The Sport Dungarees are an old school heavyweight khaki work trouser with a unique take on a 5-pocket configuration and a sturdy buckle back. They've got a high rise and wide, straight legs that cut a great silhouette, further emphasized by the relaxed top block and more fitted waist than can be brought in further with the aforementioned buckle back. The two back pockets feature button flaps, with slash entry front pockets and a pull-chain zipper coin pocket.
The 100% cotton selvedge twill fabric clocks in at about 14oz (probably a bit heavier after a wash, as the fabric weave will tighten up a bit, becoming denser and heavier), and features subtle neps and textural irregularities throughout that give it a handsome character. Over time, it will fade as a result of washing and wear, developing a unique low-contrast patina throughout.
