From the brand: The Calico is a Freenote riff on the single sawtooth western shirt. Though it may be their slimmest fitting western, we wouldn't call it a slim fit, it just runs more trim than the more relaxed Modern Western Shirt. The athletic fit lends itself towards being tucked in, and looks great under a jacket, but the Calico relaxes well too - not being too long to wear untucked or with cuffed sleeves.
This batch is sewn up in a midweight (9oz) Japanese ripstop fabric, woven from 100% cotton yarns, it's got a large check grid pattern and subtle irregularities in the weave that provide texture. Over time and with washing, the fabric will soften, breaking in to the shape of the wearer's body and draping more easily - but to help that along, Freenote have given each finished shirt a rinse, softening them up and handling any initial shrinkage.
Japanese diamond snaps, curved pocket details, and the usual Freenote 1/8” double needle stitching all work together to make this your new favorite western.
