Inspired by vintage USMC work trousers, the Obelisk Shorts are a short leg version of Indi + Ash's Obelisk Pants - cut with a relaxed fit and drawstring waistband. With a medium high rise, comfortable thighs, and a respectably short inseam, they're an extremely versatile and unisex fit, styling easily into all manner of different outfits.
It's made from Indi + Ash's powerloom (so not handwoven) cotton canvas, with a dark navy finish thanks to its iron-dyed warp and natural indigo dyed weft yarns. Over time, both dyes will fade from wear and washing, resulting in a unique and handsome patina across the fabric's surface. It's surprisingly soft from day one, despite it's respectable medium weight, and drapes excellently for a summer fabric.
Just like the pants that inspired them, these feature two roomy patch pockets on the front and back, giving you plenty of space to put your things, and a casual + unconcerned demeanor. An adjustable drawstring runs through the inside of the waistband, with metal grommet exits on either side of the fly button, which is made from a natural corozo nut.
