To preserve your Budd in nubuck leather, apply a specific water-repellent protector before the first use and renew periodically; after each use, brush dry with a crepe brush to remove dust and revive the hair. For stains, use nubuck rubber or foam cleaner, testing it beforehand on an inconspicuous area; if wet, dry without rubbing, fill with paper and let dry at room temperature. Vibram soles should be cleaned with warm water and neutral soap, without solvents or abrasive products. Avoid polishes, waxes, alcohol wipes, washing machine and direct heat sources, and store shoes with lasts or paper inside a cotton bag.
