Just can't beat the feel of real leather, especially a vintage pull-up. Soft and subtle, it just molds to the shape of your head. For the Inlander Aviator we attached the usual trims using more cowhide and metal hardware, then lined it with mock rabbit fur and a thick quilted taffeta. Originally, we tried using real rabbit fur but it would not stop molting and we ended up abandoning that idea. The mock has all the benefits without the problems.

CARING FOR YOUR LEATHER HAT
Brush off surface dirt using a soft brush or wipe with a damp cloth and allow to air dry.
Occasionally rub in a quality leather dressing which will keep the leather pliable. Ensure that the leather is not subjected to extreme heat.
