These Heavy Flannel Shirts are specifically characterized by their thick selvedge fabric and prominent texture, setting themselves apart from the crowd. This incredible 14.5oz heavy twill flannel, custom woven on vintage power looms, is some of the heaviest flannel on the market and will keep you cozy and secure all season long - not to mention it will be the first thing you reach for whenever it is a tad chilly, all year round. This version of UES' Heavy Flannel is fully indigo dyed, which showcases the heavy twill texture excellently, and will fade beautifully with some solid wear.
The weave features a very intentionally well-balanced warp and weft, providing it a myriad of give for comfort while remaining a seriously well-built, structured shirt. One of the more unique aspects that makes these a favourite of our shop is the vintage inspired coarse texture on the exterior of the shirt, perfectly contrasted by the double-brushed interior - we love this for the functional aspect of the blanket-esque comfort paired with a more robust exterior for longevity, but it also provides a lovely textured hand to the piece.
UES crafts these in line with their vintage inspired ethos, and as such these flannels feature a slightly shorter & boxier cut, and are finished with corozo nut cat's eye buttons, acorn pockets, thick collars and cuffs, side gussets, and selvedge ID detailing on the gussets and placket.
