Product Description

The Idra Maxi Dress showcases a vibrant lime green balconette bodice paired with a flowing skirt featuring a striking orange and green abstract motif. Ideal for balmy summer evenings or weddings, this piece exudes elegance and artistry. Crafted in London with sustainable fabrics, it reflects summer's bold citrus hues, inspired by the Mediterranean. Its flattering silhouette and unique print make it a standout choice for any occasion, bringing a touch of artistic flair to summer wardrobes. From the brand: Idra is our collection's vibrant, statement-making summer dress. It has a lime green balconette bodice, attached to a flowing bias-cut skirt printed with an orange and green abstract motif by artist  Laurence Watchorn . In Laurence's Chelsea, London studio, we selected Idra's painted element from his various works of art. It was photographed, extracted digitally, and then printed onto silk. The motif curves around the waist and hip, creating a flattering accent. Idra's colours are an ode to summer's bold citrus hues. These colours are found around the inspiring Mediterranean island of Hydra,  with its limes growing in the sun and painted orange buildings beaming along the shore. It's a great summer dress to be worn to dinner during a vacation's balmy evening, or to a wedding. Made in London. You can learn more about the making of the Idra Bodice Maxi Dress in our Creative Process Journal. Fabric & Sustainability Composition: Bodice: 77% Naia acetate and 23% polyester. Naia acetate is an energy-efficient fibre to produce. It's sourced from FSC-certified wood pulp, and processed on a closed-loop cycle meaning all chemicals used in the process are reused. Skirt: 65% Lenzing ECOVERO ™ and 35% silk. Silk is a biodegradable natural fabric, though it's worth noting that traditional silk production kills silkworms. Lenzing ECOVERO™ is a type of viscose, traceable and sourced from controlled FSC-regulated European forests. Lining: 60% Bemberg  ™ cupro and 40% lyocell. Bemberg™ cupro is made from discarded cotton linters, a pre-consumer material which is a byproduct of the manufacturing process of cottonseed oil. Lyocell is a durable, natural and biodegradable plant-based fabric. Production: Manufactured at a North London-based small-batch production studio. The pieces are made in studio by their talented seamstresses and cutters. It takes seven hours to cut and sew just one of our pieces.
