From the brand: JLB's Desert Boot is based on a shoe issued to British and South African soldiers in Cairo in WWII, which became popular stateside a decade later, and then a staple of "mod" fashion in the UK from the 1960s through the 1980s. The accessibility and comfort of the desert boot is still relevant today, and as usual, JLB took no shortcuts in their recreation. The suede leather of the upper and the crepe sole are sourced from Japan, and the upper, lining, sole, and insole are all masterfully stitched together.
