DESCRIPTION
One of the great things about high-quality workwear is that as it ages, it needs repairs as the garment naturally wears down. A heavily used work jacket will eventually need its pockets replaced. Usually, the fabric originally used to make the jacket is not available and the pockets need to be repaired using a different fabric. This makes for a one of a kind garment, with a personalized touch. We wanted to bring some of this magic to our latest The Vice Jacket.
Using our traditional 10oz Sashiko fabric, we washed down the garment to replicate a nicely aged jacket, then removed the pockets and “repaired” them with a dark indigo denim. This also makes for an even stronger pocketing than the original sashiko fabric.
