The story of how Shania became Dolly. While we absolutely love the intentionally oversized fit of our Shania Denim Jacket, we were receiving quite a bit of feedback that customers were finding her just too oversized. Most customers were sizing down one or two sizes so that she wouldn’t be as oversized on them. We decided to change the fit of the Shania so that you could buy the jacket in your regular, true to size fit at Brunette. Once we received the new fit of Shania Jacket and tried her on, we realized that she didn’t totally feel like the same jacket anymore. We also didn’t want to confuse anyone with the new and updated sizing. So! Meet Dolly!
Dolly has the same overall shape, gorgeous metal hardware and large chest pockets as the Shania. She’s just not quite so oversized! You’ll find this mostly through the width of the body, and the width and length of the sleeves. Dolly fits true to size, so we recommend going with your true-size at Brunette, whereas with the Shania, you’d size down. If you’re an XS/S in the Shania then you’ll be a S/M in the Dolly. If you’re looking for something even more fitted or oversized, then you can always size up or down as needed - just like the rest of your Brunette pieces. The goal is that most of our customers can buy their true-to-size fit and love the size.
