From the brand: Why We Love It: This fabric is truly a labor of love. 8 years ago, Freenote found a vintage roll of selvedge with a unique pale blue colour from an unknown mill. Nicknamed “G.I. Blue”, recreating this incredible fabric has been a passion project of theirs. While they were never able to find the original manufacturer of the denim, they learned that the pale blue colour was most likely an invention of necessity in the midst of wartime rationing. After 8 years of trial and error, they were finally able to create a faithful reproduction of “G.I. Blue” with the help of Yoshiwa Mills in Japan. Weighing in at 12oz, this is the perfect summer time raw denim.
