As this is a shoe with a jute sole, the split leather is not offered a water-repellent treatment as you must avoid contact with water. Split leather is a natural and delicate leather, and therefore requires special care. The first thing we recommend is that you apply a protective spray to prevent any kind of stain derived from grease or other substances. In case you get a stain, you can remove the dirt from the surface with a brush, and then use a piece of crepe that will act as an eraser and erase the non-greasy stains. The sole is made of jute and therefore contact with water should be avoided as it can damage the shoe.
You should never put these shoes in the washing machine!
