Named from the Latin 'nebbia' meaning fog, Nebbiolo grapes flourish in the foggy hills of Piemonte, Val D’Aosta and Lombardy, where most grapes cannot survive.
Columella, the ancient Roman writer on agriculture wrote about the Nebbiolo grape describing it as “Bunches of black grapes that give wine from cold places”
Historical records from the 1400s attest to the high quality of this grape and that removing a Nebbiolo vine was punishable by law!

A soft, silky fabric traditionally used in men's tailoring. Characterized by a diagonal weave which makes it very durable. We use 14 momme silk, a heavier weight silk than many because it is supple enough to hold its shape no matter how you fold it.
