Product Description

The Seiko Prospex Marinemaster SJE119J1 is a modern interpretation of the brand's iconic 1965 Diver's watch. With its deep navy textured dial and slender case, this timepiece blends classic design with contemporary style. Featuring a robust sapphire crystal and a durable 200m water resistance, it is perfect for adventure enthusiasts. The precision 6L37 mechanical calibre ensures reliable timekeeping, making it a stylish yet functional accessory for both sporty and casual attire. From the brand: Seiko Prospex Watch Blue Water Navy Marinemaster 1965 Divers Re-interpretation SJE119J1. This piece is a re-interpretation of Japan’s – and Seiko’s – first ever Diver’s watch which was released in 1965 and marked the beginning of Seiko’s expertise in diving watches. From 1966-1969, this watch was worn by members of the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition, proving its durability and reliability in challenging environments. With a case design inspired by the original 1965 piece, carrying the name ‘Marinemaster’ from Seiko’s heritage in diving watchmaking, the aesthetic is modernised with an elegant marine sports style. Under a box sapphire crystal glass is a deep navy dial with a textured horizontal pattern. Aside from mirror-finished lugs, it features rectangular Lumibrite-coated indices, reminiscent of the original 1965 Diver. In a more compact case size than previous re-interpretations, it recreates the silhouette of the first piece. The super hard coated case is only 12.3mm, making it the slimmest Seiko mechanical diver at ISO Diving Standard, despite its box sapphire crystal glass and sapphire exhibition case back. Whilst being slim, the newly developed in-house 6L37 mechanical calibre maintains high precision of +15 to -10 seconds per day, and a power reserve of 45 hours. Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.
