From the brand: Fabric  Name:   Cotton Voile - hand-printed - pink stripe border print *** (a 3 star fabric) Content:  100% cotton Description:   a Peaches favorite, Hand Printed Cotton Voile. Cotton voile is a whisper soft and light woven cotton fabric. Very easy to wear, light and airy, and you can machine wash and dry this fabric without worrying about shrinkage. In our wash tests, the only ironing needed was for the button up plackets, and occasionally a hem. The nature of this fabric is that it is a semi-sheer, but that is really only a potential concern on the lighter colors. See more info for a description on the art block printing by hand.  Care:   machine wash / tumble dry   or   hang dry to avoid shrinkage Shrinkage:  vertical 1% / horizontal 1%    *if you hang your garment to dry instead of machine drying it, you do not need to worry about shrinkage.                        more info The Art of Block Printing The printing is a process called Block Printing, were either wood or metal blocks are hand carved by artists with their chosen design. The blocks are then dipped into the dyes, then stamped onto the fabric. First they stamp the outline of the design, and then other blocks are used to fill in the different colors. Dyes used are usually vegetable dyes, although sometimes mineral and non toxic chemicals are also used.   available styles Items that work well in Cotton Voile fabric: Woven fabric styles Drapey Fabric styles Sleep and Loungewear styles Any fabric styles  Photo shows a Southampton Tunic A336, and an Astrid Tunic with kangaroo pocket, A288. *we check each and every order that comes in for fabric / style compatibility.  If something seems off, or we just don't think the selection is good for the style, we will definitely contact you to discuss options.
