. We have kept the integrity of this timeless silhouette from its beloved puffy tongue, shorter vamp, and bulky ankle collar. Our design language shines through the each pair’s bold aesthetics, quality construction of premium leather and suede, as well as the application of our branding throughout.
This pairs harkens back to the aesthetics associated with the roots of the
XLT
juxtaposed compositionally with influences from the
De Stijl
art movement. We aimed for maximalism with this pair’s color-blocking, utilizing a wide range of curated tones and textures that we’ve carefully composed into wearable art. This color palette ranges from blue, red, green, orange, purple, gray, black and white.
Each pair has been stamped with our GD
ENGLISH
logotype tonally embossed into the upper toe-box, and rendered as a patch that adorns the top of the padded tongue. We have included of triad of alternative tonal lace options as our underlying intent is aesthetic flexibility, which we have listed below. For comfort and shock absorption each pair will be complete with a lightweight EVA midsole and an enhanced heel clip to increase durability and shape.
