The Alpinestars Tech-Air® 3 Leather Airbag System offers top-tier protection and style for motorcyclists. Designed for both over and under jacket wear, this innovation ensures maximum safety with its sophisticated crash detection algorithm and quick-inflation airbag deployment. Constructed with premium softened leather and waterproof electronics, this sleek and versatile system fits effortlessly under various jacket types, making it ideal for urban commutes or weekend rides. From the brand: Alpinestars’ Tech-Air® 3 Leather Airbag System is designed to be worn over a motorcycle jacket, but can be worn under the jacket, as well, providing effective and practical protection for V-Twin riders, touring riders, urban city commuters, and weekend warriors who want to ride protected. Alpinestars’ crash detection triggering algorithm has been developed and refined with millions of kilometers of riding data and thousands of crashes, allowing the System to accurately assess when to deploy the airbag ahead of an impact or other dangerous situation like a lowside or highside crash. In the event that Tech-Air® 3 detects the start of a crash, the System will inflate the protective airbag in milliseconds, reducing up to 95% of the impact energy transferred to the rider anywhere the airbag protects, which includes the full chest and back. In the event of a direct impact of the rider with another vehicle or obstacle, the Tech-Air® 3 System, is effective for the “first impact 1 ,” which means that the System inflates before the rider hits the vehicle or obstacle against which the rider will have the direct impact. Featuring a main chassis constructed with premium softened leather, and waterproof ECU and electronics, the slim, self-contained System can be worn under a motorcycle jacket, including an Alpinestars’ Tech-Air® Ready jacket, or any leather or textile jacket, providing that the jacket has sufficient space to accommodate the inflation of the airbag.
