Product Description

The Continental Sack Jacket blends vintage design and modern craftsmanship, inspired by 1920s workwear. Crafted from a lightweight summer wool/linen blend, it features a refined silhouette with a flexible placket and four durable pockets. This versatile piece transitions effortlessly from casual to smart occasions, offering comfort and style. With its breathable fabric and practical details, it’s an ideal choice for warm days, maintaining elegance without compromising on functionality. From the brand: MotivMFG's Spring/Summer 2026 collection is titled "A.C.G.T." — referencing the four bases that make up a strand of DNA: Adenine, Cytosine, Guanine, & Thymine. The very conceptual title ties into the scientific inspiration behind the collection, which combines a set of unique and highly-technical fabrics with Motiv's usual stellar tailoring and design. The garments are somehow both old-world and futuristic, with riffs on familiar silhouettes and contemporary updates to classic styles that seem like they would feel equally appropriate in the Atomic Era of the late 40s as well as the distant 2100s. The Continental Sack Jacket is a more clean-cut variation of Motiv's Work Sack Jacket, inspired by the highly functional and stylish worker's jackets of the 1920s. Usually made from hard-wearing materials and cut into anatomical, tailored fits, this version sits somewhere between classic workwear and more refined casual jackets, with four external pockets that feature reinforced stitching for practical durability. It's cut with a five button placket, but sits most naturally when fixed as a three-roll-two (meaning worn either as a 3-button or 2-button blazer), though it can be closed all the way up easily for extra protection from the elements. It's got a simple and smart notch lapel, with a casual single button cuff that can actually be opened and closed. The floating buggy lining gives just a little bit of extra comfort and structure, as well as allowing air to vent more freely through the interior while you move. It's made from a summer wool/linen georgette crepe fabric, woven by Nikke Textile in Japan, with a soft and textured hand as well as a light weight and breathable face. It blends high quality twisted worsted wool yarns with interwoven linen yarns, and is finished with a wash to shrink the fabric up and to give the fabric its signature crepe effect. It drapes beautifully, with a soft and fluid appearance that brings the best of both the wool and linen yarns, wearing comfortably even in fairly hot weather. Fits true to size.
