A work coat with no work to do, which is the point. Deep indigo denim, heavy enough to hold a collar and stand slightly away from you — closer to outerwear than to anything you'd tuck in. The indigo loosens at the elbows and cuffs (pictures 4, 5 and 6), the seams go pale where you fold, and a year in it starts to look like somewhere you've been.
Gold contrast stitching runs the length of it. The buttonholes are finished by hand. Tortoise buttons. Twin flap pockets.

CARE:
Don't wash this for a few months. Denim earns its character by being worn — the fades develop where you bend, fold, and reach, and washing too early erases the map before it's drawn.
When the time comes:
Wash
: Machine wash cold, inside out, on its own the first time (the indigo will run)
Dry
: Hang or line dry. Never the dryer.
