Product Description

Experience unique craftsmanship with these cropped, high-rise trousers that blend formal tuxedo elements with a relaxed silhouette. Made from British calfskin roughout leather, their plush texture offers comfort and style without a break-in period. Featuring a tailored fit and adjustable waistband, these pants come with pleated details and multiple pockets for practicality. Designed in London, they embody meticulous imperfection, merging historical workwear inspiration with modern aesthetics for a standout addition to any wardrobe. From the brand: Run by designer Daniel Olatunji, Monad London produces beautiful handmade garments with a unique blend of precise tailoring and what Daniel calls meticulous imperfection . A graduate of Central Saint Martins in London, Daniel's pursuit of perfection lead him full circle, now embracing a very natural chaos in his details — raw edges, mismatched buttons, aged fabrics, and hand stitching contrast & compliment the immaculate construction of each piece. The same approach is taken with their materials, seeking out handwoven or deadstock textiles from artisan makers and antique dealers, selecting only the very best and most interesting fabrics for each new style. The designs are inspired by what we'd call "working wear" — shirts, trousers, and even suits made from hardy materials and worn by blue collar workers through the middle of the 20th century. These pieces were lived in by the people who wore them, developing a unique character over time that Monad London manage to reproduce and reimagine. The Wysman Pant is a cropped-leg interpretation of a more formal tuxedo trouser, with a great silhouette and unique construction details. The top block is cut without a front or back yoke, with a narrow (and adjustable) waistband and pleats at the front and back of the legs just beneath it. They've got three pockets, two for your hands and one at the rear with a flap cover, turned-up cuffs at the end of each leg, and hooks to close the waist — all fitting details for a "tuxedo" pant. They've got a relaxed top block, with a high rise and roomy seat that pairs with the slightly oversized waist, which can be brought in with the metal side tab adjusters for a more dramatic silhouette. The legs are tapered, wide at the top and less so at the opening, never reaching slim, but also not so roomy as to be exaggerated, with a very "natural" leg shape that ends in a deliberately cropped cuff. This new batch, a run of only two pairs, is made from British calfskin roughout, an exceptionally soft and supple leather with a beautiful texture and a comfortable drape. It's got the buttery texture of a good calf leather and the soft, fuzzy nap of a suede, meaning that these require no break-in process before they start feeling good to wear. On top of that, the inside is lined in silky-smooth bemberg cupro, so that your bare legs are always one degree removed from the leather itself. These run large through the waist, with a relaxed fit and cropped leg. Dry clean.
