This season’s shirts feature a timeless check pattern, seen here in our work cut with a black/indigo colourway. Slowly woven to increase heft and texture, the darkest yarns in the pattern are indigo dyed while the lighter shades are sulphur cheese-dyed to allow for natural fading over time. With only four shuttle looms in Japan capable of producing this intricate pattern (which requires switching the weft yarn mid-weave), our SS25 shirts are some of the most unique Japanese-made flannels available this season.Please note, to differentiate this colourway from our pure indigo shirts, we refer to this plaid as a “black”. However, in person, the dominant colour appears more of a deep indigo hue, which will gradually lighten with wear and washing.
