The Scout Hat
is
an unstructured snapback with a few key details. An instant classic, if you will. It is made of a tried and true textile known as Bedford Cord. Same textile used for our WILD Hat.
Bedford cord traces back to Bedford, England. Known to be a tough, purpose-built fabric cut from the same cloth as corduroy, but stripped down and refined. It carries subtle vertical ridges without the bulk of traditional wales, giving it a clean, hard-wearing finish that’s built to move.
A water-repellent variation, known as Jungle Cloth, earned its keep with U.S. Navy pilots from the 1920s through the ’40s. It has been trusted in open cockpits, high winds, and unforgiving conditions. Proven material, with a legacy of standing up to the elements.
