The Samira tunic features a unique Kalamkari block print inspired by traditional South Indian Athangudi tiles, crafted with natural dyes using a meticulous 23-step process. Printed in the traditional kalamkari block printing technique using a combination of natural dyes. Kalamkari is a special block-printed cotton textile that refers to the ancient style of hand painting that was born out of the art of storytelling. Making Kalamkari fabric involves 23-steps including treating and preparing the fabric, preparing the dyes and finally hand printing with precision and care.
