From the brand: Jamdani is a time-consuming and labor-intensive form of traditional hand weaving accomplished by master weavers and apprentices. The richness of its distinctly patterned motifs are created directly on the loom using a discontinuous weft technique. Figurative wall art is commonly displayed around the timing of festivals that mark special occasions like a new harvest or to welcome a newly married couple. We were inspired by this celebratory decorative tradition and reinterpreted a design for this collection using Jamdani weaving.
