Lot. 204 Engineer Trousers - Ivory Paint
Product Description
These wide-leg pants draw inspiration from 18th-century workwear, designed for both comfort and style. Crafted from textured katuragi fabric, they feature a minimalist aesthetic accentuated by unique paint marks that evoke an artist's spirit. The uncoated iron buttons develop an elegant patina over time, adding character. With a high-rise silhouette, they offer a modern yet timeless fit perfect for creative endeavors or casual outings. From the brand: As an artist, Taiga Takahashi often wore a jumpsuit during his creative work, marked with whitish paint stains. Though accidental, these stains seem to reflect his minimalist aesthetic. In this T.T garment, we imagined him continuing his creative journey, leaving behind traces of his future presence. Inspired by 18th-century work pants discovered in California, the redesign features a high-rise, wide silhouette from thigh to hem. Made from comfortably thick and textured katuragi (twill) fabric, the straight yarn creates a clean, defined twill pattern. The buttons and back pieces, marked with original engravings, are made of iron and left uncoated to develop a natural aged patina over time.
