From the brand: Islay, our no nonsense country-going, full brogue derby boot with well-known roots in cinematic annals. Its robust storm-welts, high leg design, speed hooks and bold broguing speak of a boot that’s stood, and is still standing the test of time. A unique version, featuring our made in England, Ridgway rubber sole and contract notched storm welt, this limited edition could possibly be the best yet! Horween's Zug Grain is a heavy weight leather from steer hides that once graced a famous style in our collection, the VELDT. Oxblood Zug is tanned using traditional methods that Horween are most famous for. The word Zug itself, dates back over 100 years and refers to a leather and print that was tanned in Switzerland. Since then, many tanneries have picked up on the type of raw material and the traditional tanning process required to produce this remarkable leather. Its handle is thick, tough and extremely hardwearing. Horween’s Zug Grain is a robust leather that requires considerable breaking in, but once it has moulded to your foot, this is a leather that will last for decades.
