Originally developed during the 1940s for the Swedish Army’s winter warfare units, this Parka was designed as an over-garment to be worn above the standard field uniform in alpine and snow-covered environments. Originally issued in a natural off white tone to blend into Nordic landscapes and provide effective snow camouflage, it offered wind protection and concealment rather than insulation, forming part of a layered cold-weather system built for mobility and adaptability.
Constructed from dense cotton, the parka features a generous hood designed to fit over headgear, a full button front secured with large white buttons for easy handling with gloves, and an integrated wind-shielding placket system engineered to block cold air from penetrating the closure.
