Product Description

This Scout Jacket embraces a modern twist on classic workwear, featuring robust 13oz. selvedge denim from Japan that retains an undyed, natural color. The design boasts spacious chore coat pockets, acorn chest pockets, and a refined lasso stitch detail for added character. With a two-piece sleeve and longer body, it provides both comfort and style, making it a versatile piece perfect for layering. Gold stitching and copper hardware enhance its heritage appeal. From the brand: For the Scout Jacket we wanted a functional modern design, heavily inspired by our favorite heritage workwear garments. Loosely based on a vintage Type III jacket, we ditched the smaller welt pockets in favor of large drop-in  chore coat style pockets, curved the front and back yokes, and added acorn chest pockets and a lasso stitch detail to the front pocket for just a touch of western flair. The fabric is a 13oz. ecru/natural selvedge denim from the famous Nihon Menpu mill in Okayama Japan. The 100% cotton fabric is undyed and unbleached; the cotton retains the natural soft white color. We've integrated selvedge denim details throughout the garment and the design is rounded out by gold stitching and copper hardware. A refined take on the classic denim jacket, we added a bit of length to the body and opted for a two-piece sleeve for a better fit. Expect this to fit similarly to a modern modified trucker jacket. As always, every garment is crafted start to finish by one person in the Skinner workshop using 15 vintage industrial sewing machines we've rescued from shuttered factories over the years.
