Earlier this year we visited a local antique market, where we discovered a beautifully detailed fish pin. Drawn to its charm and to its detailed scales and fins, we knew we had to reproduce it.
We took the original brooch to Hatton Garden, where a mould was made of the brooch to preserve its unique character and to replicate its shape. From this single vintage piece, we cast a limited-run collection of fish pins, made in brass as the original and also reimagined in silver, retaining every fine detail of the original.
The pin is a tribute to that one lucky market find, hand-finished and polished with care.
Please note, as this pin has been cast from a antique piece which has signs of wear, each mark on the original is picked up when creating a mould, we do not see these as an imperfection in the piece but as a way of preserving the history of the original pin.
