We are now doing our hand dyed Lida Bike Shorts for all! We've been making these in house for ourselves for a while, and now you can have them too. Our activewear uses a soft thick cotton jersey that is 3% spandex, with a four way stretch for maximum freedom of movement. If you have any of our turtlenecks or other recent knit tops, it's the same fabric. Fashion enough for all day, and robust enough for an actual workout. The Lida Bike Shorts have a wide contoured waist band, so
you can wear them high on the waist or lower.
Cozy, stretchy and ready for action!
These very special shorts are hand dyed by artisans in Northern Ghana, using traditional methods and indigenous botanical indigo. We have pre washed them, but for the first few wears you can expect some color loss. As in, don't wear them on a white couch right away. This tendency is a sign of authenticity in West Africa, and the blue is considered to have medicinal properties on the skin. To reduce color loss, please try soaking and washing your garment in a vinegar solution (10 parts water to 1 part white vinegar) and drying in the sun.
