From the brand: First issued to servicemen in 1965, the original M65 jacket was designed as a cold-weather field coat for the US military. This reimagining, however, takes that “cold-weather” aspect up a notch. Maintaining the classic cut - complete with four large patch pockets and a hooded collar - Iron heart have replaced the military sateen fabric traditionally used in its construction with a heavyweight 21oz Melton wool. A higher-density knit compared to previous Iron Heart Melton woollen garments, this double-woven fabric comprises 90% wool, with 10% nylon blended in to enhance durability. The result is a super-warm, windproof fabric which, when combined with the weatherproof Japanese Ventile lining, creates a heavyweight M65 for even the coldest of winters.
