From the brand: A newly introduced, miniature version of MAN-TLE's signature tote bag cut from their trademark, heat treated nylon cloth. Features the signature pull-toggle closure originally designed for convertible soft tops, dual carry handles at the top, and a single longer strap that can be worn on the shoulder or cross body. The smaller size is well suited to small valuables that are best kept close or for short trips around town. Constructed with reinforcement discs at handle attachment points and french seams for a hard wearing finish that is built to last.
MAN-TLE’s nylon cloth is produced in Fukui in close collaboration with a local mill. The cloth is boiled in a chloride solution, causing it to shrink permanently, producing the characteristic crinkled surface and a tighter weave that imparts structural water resistance. Both the technique and appearance of the cloth pay homage to traditional techniques used in the production of Japanese Obi belts wherein silk is boiled in sea water.
