This year I chose to go from a 4 dart finish to 6. This refers to the seams that close the top of the hat. I always did 4, dating back to our first Watchman beanie over a decade ago. I liked the shape better, and even though the supplier didn’t offer them like that at the time, that’s how I wanted them made.
I changed it to a 6 dart finish after noticing how a lot of people were wearing it. I wanted the hat to fit better over the crown with less of a bunny ear look to it. So if you like to wear it with a thicker cuff, you can adjust it and pull it down snug and the crown will fit flush. If you like to double roll it (as I’ve shown in the individual product photos), this shape is perfect as well.
At the end of the day, I wanna love the product I make, and I wanna see it on people worn as I intend. So I made the change for this reason. Hope you guys love them.
