Origins
The Steve was created as an ode to Steve Gonzalez’s Mexican heritage. Inspired by traditional matador shoes, this design celebrates both cultural reference and craftsmanship. Following two successful collaborations with Steve—now a cherished member of the Jacques Soloviere family—we dedicated this shoe to him. He played an integral role in every decision, from selecting the leather colors to shaping a shoe as intricate and thoughtfully engineered as the Steve.
