Product Description
Crafted from Japanese cotton using unique slubby yarn, these sweatpants showcase an eco-friendly approach by utilizing natural dyes from local black beans and chestnuts. The unbleached ecru color retains the organic essence, while the bespoke fit ensures comfort and style. Versatile and effortlessly chic, these pants pair seamlessly with casual wear, making them a must-have for any wardrobe. From the brand: JAPANESE COTTON MADE SWEATSHIRT A sweatshirt fabric made with an uneven #10 yarn spun in the same way as our 17oz “Zero” denim. Natural color: Purposely not bleached or dyed, we’ve preserved the natural ecru color and atmosphere of the organic cotton itself. This color is known as ‘kinari’ in Japanese. Black bean color: The place where we grow our organic cotton is called Sasayama and it is also home to local black soybean production. We’ve used the juice of these black beans (which is normally just thrown away) as a natural dye, resulting in a very unique, organic, and eco-friendly color. Chestnut color: Along with black soybeans, the Sasayama area is also famous for its own brand of chestnuts called “Tamba” chestnuts. We’ve extracted a dye from the astringent skins of these chestnuts and mixed it up to make a really attractive color, falling somewhere between beige and brown.
