From the brand: This 14.5 oz. sweatshirt is made of 30 count open-ended yarn, indigo rope-dyed, and tightly knit.
The yarn is twisted by the power of air, which is called “open-end yarn” or “air-spun yarn.” The yarn contains a moderate amount of air, and the fabric has a dry and firm texture.. The same yarn is used for the milling (ribbing).
The fabric is dyed over indigo with persimmon tannin, or "kakishibu", a natural dye that has been used for clothing since the Heian period (794-1192). The tannin enhances sterilization properties and colorfastness, and the more the yarn is used, the deeper the color becomes.
The sewing specifications use a 4-needle flat seamer sewing machine, and the fabric cutting blade is adjusted so that the color of the persimmon tannin can be seen on the front as well. Please understand that, because we use natural dyes, there may be some unevenness in the color.
