Original 1983 season members of the USFL and winners of the first USFL championship, the Michigan Panthers played in the Pontiac Silverdome.
Amid financial struggles following the 1984 season, the team merged
with the Oakland Invaders
in 1985, where they would operate under the Invaders name.
