'90 Runnin' Rebels Legacy
Jerry Tarkanian and his band of Rebels dismantled Duke 103-73 in the National Championship. The 1990 UNLV basketball team was loaded with talent with Anderson Hunt, Larry Johnson, Greg Anthony and Stacey Augmon. The Rebels stormed through the tournament en route to the schools first national title.
The 1990 UNLV Runnin' Rebels brought things to college basketball that had never been seen before. Black sneakers, baggy white and red basketball shorts, high flying highlights, team huddles on the floor. UNLV would inspire many of the great teams to follow them in college basketball in terms of style of play as well as their impact in pop culture. These UNLV basketball shorts are a piece of hardwood history!
