Yale’s football history runs deep. Walter Camp, known as the “Father of American Football,” played and coached there, leading the team to 3 of its 27 national championships. In 1875 they kicked off their rivalry with the Harvard Crimson in “The Game,” a historic face-off they’ve repeated 140 times, with Yale leading the series 71-61-8 through the 2024 season.
