OMEGA Speedmaster Tropical Dial Professional Ref. 145.022-69ST Unpolished
Product Description
Experience the timeless elegance of the Omega Speedmaster Professional Reference 145.022-69, known for its racing heritage and spaceflight history. Featuring a stunning tropical chocolate dial and warm tritium lume, this 1969 model is powered by the manual wind Caliber 861 movement. Its unpolished 42mm case and accompanying Omega reference bracelet showcase a true vintage appeal. Perfect for enthusiasts and collectors alike, this watch is an iconic piece of horological history that speaks to both style and performance. From the brand: The Omega Speedmaster was introduced in 1957, initially created for drivers in automotive racing. However, it would reach iconic status by eventually reaching spaceflight qualification by NASA amongst several of the highest grade chronographs of its era. This OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Reference 145.022-69 is an incredible example. It features a beautiful tropical dial that has turned to a chocolate color. The tritium lume has turned to an attractive warm hue. The serial number is correct for 1969 and it is paired with an Omega reference 1039 bracelet with 516 end-links dating to 1970. The case measures 42mm. It is powered by the manual wind movement Caliber 861 manufactured by Lemania. The case appears to be unpolished. To learn more about the Omega Speedmaster, you can watch ‘Reference Points: Understanding The Entire Lineage Of The Omega Speedmaster’ video by Eric Wind and Ben Clymer from 2015 (and corresponding article). The watch does not come with box or papers. We do not know the service history but it is running well.
